- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a single-source purchase order to The Boeing Company, Boeing Technology Services, Seattle, Washington, for services to provide Support for Safety Assessment Toolset Enhancements, Phase II, for technical expertise, engineering services, and computer software in supporting enhancements to the Flight Standards' Safety Assessment Toolset and related activities for the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Obstacle Clearance Panel (OCP). This procurement is considered to be single source based on the requirement of use of the vendor's proprietary software for the 747-400 aircraft. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures.
