- Description
- X-Bot Solicitation Amendment 07 During the X-Bot technical demonstration, the government concluded that there was too much emphasis placed on the operators ability to identify the items in a low-light condition. The emphasis should have been placed on system resolution in a low light e nvironment. Paragraph 4.3. in the notes section in MIS-PRF-56596RevB (2) Exhibit (A) states that Effectiveness will be measured by 19 positive identifications out of 20 attempts by a 5th to 95th percentile representative Army Soldier. Accordingly, the Government decided that it is necessary to re-conduct the technical demonstration. As a result, items used in the initial demonstration will be replaced with common items to reduce the emphasis on the operators knowledge of military items. The course la yout will be adjusted to ensure that there is no benefit from the first demonstration run. The revised technical demonstration plan was posted to the PEO STRI website for your review and use. The performance requirements will remain the same; however the sequence has been changed slightly. Bidders will be scheduled for timeslots in the same order during the 22rd - 24th of August 2007. The technical demonstration will not change with the exception of the process for completing Station 6A, the low light item identification. All other portio ns of the technical demonstration will be followed as written in the original technical demonstration plan. Bidders will be notified via phone on 24 August 07 whether they passed or failed the technical demonstration. A formal invitation to the Reverse Auction will be sent on 27 August 07 with instructions.
