- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO for the procurement of the following: Qty. 4, MAUS V Electronics w/ all inspection modes; Qty. 4, Commercial laptop computer and software; Qty. 4, Variable Stroke Scanner (including hard shipping case); Qty. 4, Flexible Track Scanner (including hard shipping case); Qty. 4, Pulse-echo sensor set (5 MHz); Qty. 4, Resonance sensor set (260 kHz); Qty. 4, Phased array subsystem; Qty. 4, Couplant supply system; Qty. 4, 5 days MAUS V on-site training with instructor; Qty.1, Upgrade MAUS IV scanner to MAUS V; Qty. 3, Hard shipping cases for variable stroke scanner (Storm case IM3300); Qty. 3, Hard shipping cases for the MAUS chassis (control box and computer), (storm case IM2975); Qty. 3, MAUS IV to V station upgrade configurations reflect the MAUS V configuration above; Extension of the three (3) month warranty to one (1) year warranty for each system. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
