Description: This Request for Quotes is to acquire services for the purpose of improving wildlife habitat conditions through mechanical brush mowing of shrubs, herbaceous vegetation, and unwanted conifer trees less than six inches diameter at breast height using a brush cutter mulcher. Project areas are on the Diamond Lake Ranger District of the Umpqua National Forest. Fifty to sixty percent of each unit requires treatment. Additional units are listed as option items available for award prior to the effective date of the Notice To Proceed. Anticipated start date is early November 2007. The acquisition will be a commercial service based on FAR Part 12 and rules in FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
