- The Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed Price, Sole Source contract to Patriot3, Quantico, VA for the purchase of a Mobile Adjustable Ramp System (M ARS). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The announcement number is MSNMPS7236S106. The North American Industry Classification Syst em (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332999, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is set-aside for small business. Sole source justification: The required equipment has been acquired previously by the Army and Law Enforcement agencies. This equipment allows special teams to respond and react to special threat situations. It enables personnel the ability to rapidly and safely move to and go ove r walls, fences, etc, as well as enter upper levels of a target building. The components sought are required to function with the MARS to allow rapid approach to target areas and traversing of obstacles. Patriot3 holds the patent design for this system.
