- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Numbered Note 1 applies to this announcement. Statement of Work Seamless Flooring Systems Bld 207 NKAK072013 " Area to be finished is approx 4650 sq ft. See attached diagrams for layout. o Approx 4400 sq ft bare concrete. o Approx 250 sq ft 12 x 12 VCT to be removed by contractor. " Prepare substrate as required for proper system adhesion in areas indicated on attached diagrams, o Shot-blast, diamond grind or power scarify as required to obtain clean, open porous concrete. o Remove sufficient material to provide a sound surface, free of laitance, glaze, efflorescence, and any bond-inhibiting curing compounds or form release agents. o Remove grease, oil, and other penetrating contaminants. o Repair damaged and deteriorated concrete to acceptable condition o Leave surface free of dust, dirt, laitance, and efflorescence. " Apply Polymer Floor Coating per attached specifications. o Primer, ? The primer shall be a 100% reactive, epoxy based coating that exhibits rapid curing and chemical resistance o Basecoat ? The basecoat shall consist of a tough, impact-resistant epoxy coating sufficient in accepting aggregate o Broadcast Applications ? Broadcast BC grade quartz aggregate into the first wet coat Clear Basecoat to excess. Repeat the broadcast into a second application of basecoat. o Grout Coat ? Grout with epoxy compatible grout and apply with a flat squeegee and then back roll. Apply a second grout coat if no optional finish coats are to be applied. o Finish Coat ? Finish coats of chemical resistant or moisture cure urethane are used to enhance the properties of the flooring systems. " Install Polymer coating in entrance foyer in pattern of Ducimus Logo. (See Contract Officer for spec.) " Tests & Inspection. ? The following tests shall be performed by the applicator and recorded during application to submit to the Contract Officer: " a. Temperature during Installation. o Air. o Substrate. o Dew Point " Disposal of demo and excess materials. 1. Properly remove and dispose of any excess materials. 2. No material is to be disposed of on Little Rock AFB. " Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the work in accordance with all applicable federal state and local laws. o Employees on the work site and other persons who may be effected thereby " Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to property at the site, such as lawns, walks, pavements, structures, vehicles and utilities. " Work schedule is to be coordinated with 189th CES and occupants. o Work will not shut down daily operations in facility. o Work that will interrupt operations will be done when building is vacant. Contractor is required to follow attached specifications and diagrams. All Submittals are to be turned in to Contracting Officer in a timely manner for review.
