- This is a notice of intent to procure a single source contract with Motorola Radio, US Federal Government Markets Division, 7031 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, Maryland 21046 for Fourteen (14) each Motorola XTS5000 Model II 3x2 Radios with 14 each Smartzone Software, 14 each software Astro Digital Cai Ope, 14 each Project 25 9600 Baud Trunking, 2 year repair service and 14 each Chargers for the Kansas Army National Guard. The contract will be awarded pursuant to FAR 6.301(a) Only One Responsible S ource and No Other Supplies Will Satisfy Agency Requirements . The NAICS code for this requirement is 334290 and the size standard is 750 Employees. The Motorola XTS5000 Radio is being purchased on a single source basis because it is the only known commerc ial radio that is compatible with the Law Enforcement Agencies that are supported by the Kansas Army National Guard and offers the digital, analog and encryption capabilities necessary to interact with these agencies. This radio is the make and model of r adio that is currently being used by the Kansas Army National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters which must be compatible and Motorola radios are required to interact with the Motorola accessories on hand. Interested persons who feel they can provide this it em may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Convincing evidence of your ability to provide these items and your response to this notice must be received no later than 2:00 PM CST, September 17, 2007. We are not interest ed in setting up sources for new manufacturing. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
