- NOTICE: Only local sources will be considered under this solicitation. Local sources are sources (e.g., corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e., licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the typ e of work specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance o f the resulting contracts. In addition, prior to award of the contracts, offerors must be registered with the Government of Japan to do work in Japan and possess necessary licenses and permits to perform work required under this solicitation. PROJECT I NFORMATION: Professional services required for Air Emission Source Testing for Generators. The services include two rounds of sampling and laboratory analyses of exhaust gas emitted from Marine Corps Base (MCB) Butler owned 17 generators in Okinawa, Ja pan. The test result will be used to determine compliance with the Japan Environmental Governing Standard and local air quality regulations. The generators are located in Camp Foster (to include Plaza Housing), Courtney, Kinser, Futenma, Hansen, Schwab , and Ie Shima. The contractor shall provide all the necessary labor; materials, supplies, transportation, and equipment required to complete this contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 6 September 2007 and quotes must be submitted by 17 S eptember 2007 (1500 hours Japan Standard Time) to Procurement Branch, Contracting Division, Attn: Takako Hirukawa.
