- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for one (1) Flex System with the following specifications: -Flex form and trim tool Model F-1F/2FLEX-S -MODEL 5000-2-5l Floating Anvil Air press -CS-10 centering stage -PLUS-500M manual loader with vacuum Flex universal form and trim system, small with: -Automation standoff control -Fits only Fancort #5000L -Adjustable cut length to 3.0" max via hand wheel w/digital readout -Maximum body length of 2.000" -Shoulder, radius, lead material, and foot length are variable with easily interchangeable die members -High precision double threaded lead screw -Armalloy hard chrome finish -One year warranty -Mil Standard 2000 compatible Centering Stage for Flex System -Infinitely adjustable -Hardened tool steel construction -90 degree indexing for accurate location of quadpacks Manual Loader with Vacuum for Flex with: -Precision arm movement with ball slides -Adjustable vacuum pick-up arm with suction head Bench Air Press with all controls per the following: -Five inch bore cylinder; 3/4 ton at 80PSI -Stepper motor and height control are built in for automatic standoff controlled tooling -Dowel pins for tool location -External power supply for ease of maintenance -Emergency shut off switch -Two hand safety controls -Filter/regulator assembly -Counter and air lock out -Measures 21" X 13.5" X 27" -100lbs: 110 volts standard -Patent No. 4,907,628 -One year warranty Crating for shipping. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Fancort Industries Inc. The authority is FAR 13.106(b)(1) only one source reasonably available, for this universal system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing via email, fax or mail to Candis Edwards-Duncan/CODE 210.3 at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD, 20771 the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 09/13/2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an capabilities statement which shall be considered by the agency.
