Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service combined Synopsis/Solicitation No. 301817Q372 posted 08/18/07 for rip rap and crusher stone for delivery to the DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge, Missouri Valley, Iowa, is modified to define the material requirements as follows. ITEM 1: 4,000 tons of riprap. Material shall conform to the requirement of Iowa Department of Transportation Standard Specification Section 4130 for Class B Revetment. Stone Wt. (lbs): 650, Min % larger than stone wt: 0. Stone Wt. (lbs): 500, Min % larger than stone wt: 20. Stone Wt. (lbs) 275, Min % larger than stone wt: 50. Stone Wt. (lbs) 25, Min % larger than stone wt: 90. The following material is also acceptable: Nebraska Department of Roads Standard Specification Section 905.02 for Type C Riprap (see table 905.01). Stone Size (lbs): 694.4, % of total wt. smaller than given size: 100. Stone Size (lbs): 154.3, % of total wt. smaller than given size: 50. Stone Size (lbs) 11.0, % of total wt. smaller than given size: not to exceed 10. ITEM 2: 400 tons of ¾ inch crushed stone. Material shall conform to the requirements of Iowa Department of Transportation Specification Section 4120, Class B Crushed Stone (Gradation 11 with 1 inch stone screened out). ITEM 3: 250 tons of 1 ½ inch crushed stone. Material shall conform to the requirements of Iowa Department of Transportation Specification Section 4123, Modified Sub-base Material (Gradation 14). ITEM 4: 250 tons of 1 inch screened rock. Material shall conform to the requirements of Iowa Department of Transportation Specification Section 4120 and shall not be graded. Quote due date is extended to September 14, 2007. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-SEP-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
