Description

The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions: Question 1: Does a company registered outside the United States (foreign company) have to obtain a Central Contractor Registration (CCR) number for the above project? Answer 1: A foreign company that performs work outside the United States is required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system in order to be awarded a contract, except under extenuating circumstances, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 4.1101(a)(5). For further guidance, please visit CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/International.aspx. Question 2: Is there any requirement under the Buy American Act that affects a foreign company in tendering for the above project? Answer 2: Current FAR 25 ? Foreign Acquisition, contains no restrictions regarding the Buy American Act for service contracts with foreign vendors. The reference FAR clauses may be viewed at http://www.arnet.gov.far. All other terms and conditions of the original Solicitation MCC-07-0169-RFQ-77 remains in full force and effect. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-SEP-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
