Description
Solicitation Number F1B3F37205A005 is hereby issued as a Sources Sought for the following item: Forcible Entry Door Simulator Statement of Work: A. Scope The vendor will provide the following, a forcible entry door simulator. The trainer will be delivered to the Altus AFB Fire Department, Fire Station #1. The bid shall include FOB destination to Altus AFB. Oklahoma. This unit will be built to specifications as follows and designed for years of use under manufacture specifications. B. Introduction The following specifications are for a forcible door entry simulator. It shall be capable of establishing and maintaining forcible entry procedures and techniques for on-duty firefighters. The trainer is intended for private use. The unit will be an only means of forcible entry training for firefighters located at Altus A.F.B. Fire Department. Product shall be completely brand new and of the best quality materials currently used in commercial practice for forcible entry trainers. Materials that deteriorate or wear out due to regular use, will not be used and will be repaired or replaced by a certified technician. Protective coatings that chip, crack, or scale with age or extremes in climatic conditions or on exposure to heat or cold shall not be used. Weight shall be distributed equally doorway trainer. It shall be sturdy and stable under normal use. It will be constructed to be portable and not lose or compromise structural integrity when relocated or in use. Number of units to be supplied - one (1) each All fasteners used in construction shall be grade eight, structural quality steel and other materials that will not rust or corrode. Any and all design plans are subject to Altus AFB Fire Department pre approval before agreeing to purchase or construct trainer. C. Doorway Specifications Door simulator construction: Door frame shall be able to accept standard and steel doors of a width from 28" to 36" and standard door height. Door frame shall be constructed of six inch "U" channel steel. Bottom plate of doorway shall consist of a four foot by four foot steel plate one half inch plate. The door frame shall be attached to the plate by grade 8 fasteners. Locking devices: For outward opening door, must have capability to use up to 2 barrel bolts secured to the door. For inward opening doors, must have capability to have from one to five locks secured to the door. Locks for inward door must be made of two inch steel "U" channel bolted to the door frame by grade 8 fasteners. D. Warranties and Training 1. The trainer shall be provided with a two year warranty. 2.The trainer shall be free from any defects in material and/or workmanship under normal use and service. 3.All equipment supplied (components/accessories) shall be covered under the individual manufacturer's warranty, and such warranties included with the owners/operators manuals upon delivery. 4.The vendor shall supply manuals, warranty information to purchaser that includes general information, operational procedures and inspection/maintenance procedures. In addition, each offeror shall ensure their registration on the Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) website: http://orca.bpn.gov. Contractor MUST be registered in CCR and ORCA under the NAICS code to be considered for award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be on the government procurement website at http://www.fbo.gov.
