Description
NASA intends to award a sole source purchase order to BOXX Technologies, Inc. to provide ten computers with Linux and high graphics capability which are rack mountable. Model Specifications: AMD Opteron 2000 Series Processors NVIDIA Nforce Pro 2200 Chipset DIMM ECC DDR2-667 Mhz (16) DIMM Slots (4) Serial ATA ports (RAID 0,1) (1) Parallel ATA IDE Interace (2 devices) (2) Gigabit Ethernet ports (4) USB 2.0 Ports (2) Front, (2) Rear (1) Serial port (1) 16MB Onboard Video 520watt power supply 1U: 19"Wx1.7"Hx25"D NASA's GSFC has a requirement for ten computers that run Linux, have significant graphics capabilities, and are 1U rack-mountable systems. The rack-mounted systems shall have PCI-Express 16X slot and provide NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500 or better graphics cards as a built-to-order option for that slot, with a three-year warranty for the entire configuration. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later 4:00PM EST on September 20, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated soley for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is soley within the discretion of the government. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The DPAS rating for this procurement is D0-C9. The FAR may be obtained via the Internet at URL.
