Description
The Fort Bragg Directorate of Contracting intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to ASCO Services, Inc. 7311 Pine Lake Lane, Charlotte, NC 28227. ASCO Services will provide an engineered upgrade and install an ASCO G roup 5 Microprocessor Control Panel. ASCO Services is the originator of the switchgear generator assembly and its functional design for Bldg E-2929. Additionally, the ASCO Services equipment contains software that is proprietary. The North American Ind ustry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219, size standard is $6.5 million. The period of performance is 1 October 2007 through 29 September 2008. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, tools, supervision and any other items necessary to: up-grade the ASCO transfer switch so that the switch will transfer automatically after commercial power is restored. Work shall include upgrading obsolete group 7 control panel with new group 5 micro-processor based control p anel. Generator transfer switch shall be tested for correct operation after repair. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their i nterest and capability to respond to the requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with ASCO Services, Inc. Responses are due by September 20, 2007, 3:00 p.m. local standard time.
