Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. ---- Basis for sole source -- In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), and FAR 13.501, and under the statutory authority granted in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No O ther Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, it is the intent to award a sole source contract to Robertson Aviation LLC for the purchase of the Guardian 200 Extended Range Fuel System (ERFS) B Kits based on the approved sole source / bran d name justification. The basis for the approval is that the Guardian 200 ERFS is a proprietary system available only from Robertson Aviation LLC, the manufacturer of this highly specialized equipment. These additional B Kits will be used in conjunctio n with the existing A Kits already installed and in use on the requiring activitys aircraft. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and would cause unacceptable delays in fulfilling the units requirements during their current deployment. ---- GENERAL INFORMATION: - Purchase and delivery of Guardian 200 ERFS B Kits manufactured by Robertson Aviation LLC, for the 12th Combat Aviation Brigad e (CAB) stationed in Katterbach, Germany. ---- Additional Information: - This Combined Synopsis / Solicitation is being issued as a request for quote under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Sup plies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, and procedures specified in FAR 13.501(a) for acquisitions of commercial items under the test program. ---- The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-20, dated 06 September 2007. ---- Contract Line Item Numbers: CLIN 0001 / Description: Guardian 200 Extended Range Fuel System (ERFS), B Kits for Black Hawk Internal Auxiliary Fuel System (IAFS) / Manufacturer: Robertson Aviation LLC / MFR PART NR: HM026-002-400 - B Kits / Quantity: 15 / Unit of Measure: Each / --- Offered Unit Price: ______________ / ---- CLIN 0002 / Description: Packaging in accordance with best commercial practices for internat ional door-to door delivery via commercial carrier. / Quantity: 15 / Unit of Measure: Each / --- Offered Unit Price: ______________ / --- Delivery shall be FOB ORIGIN with Door-to-Door delivery, via commercial carrier to US Army Airfield, Katt erbach, Germany (postal code 91522).
