Description
The National Park Serve, Denver Service Center (NPS/DSC) is contemplating negotiating a sole source contract with Carmanah Technologies, Inc., Victoria, BC Canada V91 362 to purchase complete solar powered LED lighting systems: Ferry Landing Lighting System: Qty 4, SE20 Solar powered 20 watt lighting system Qty 10, LED Fixtures 10, 4 LED lights with mounting arms Qty 24, V-Marine, V-Marine fixtures with mounting nut Primary subcomponents include: - Solar panels - LED luminaire, life-span of up to 100,000 hours - Sealed batter bank - Power module - Wiring harness and connectors - Energy management system (EMS) (Proprietary Info) Cables and Programming - included Design and Engineering - included Ferry Shelter Lighting System: Qty 2, iSHELTER - FP80, Solar LED shelter lighting system for a peaked roof shelter Primary subcomponents include: - 80 W crystalline solar panel - LED luminaire (2 fixtures), pivoting, life-span of up to 100,000 hours - Sealed battery bank, minimum 10 day autonomy - Powder coating of exposed components (to match shelter) - Wiring harness and connectors - Energy management system (EMS) (Proprietary Info) - Datalogger and harness Cables and Programming - included Design and Engineering - included The NPS/DSC anticipates that this effort will be available only from the original source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is predicated upon substantial duplication of cost to the Government which is not expected to be recovered through competition. This Solar Powered LED Light Systems is proprietary and owned by Carmanah Technologies, Inc. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The applicable NAICS code for this proposed acquisition is 335129 with a size standard of 500 Employees. The estimated value of this acquisition is $26,000. Interested parties must provide documentation of their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The required documentation must be mailed to Eric Weisman, Contract Specialist by 2:00 pm Mountain Standard Time on October 2, 2007 to be considered timely. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
