Description
The Department of Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, Fresno, hereby solicits proposals for the following: The contractor will furnish all necessary labor, materials, parts, and travel for performing preventive maintenance upon facility electrical components per National Electrical Testing Association, Maintenance Testing Specifications, 2005 Edition. Selected vendor shall be a full member of the National Electrical Testing Association and provide competent and qualified personnel and supervision during all aspects of this project. Vendor shall be aware that due to mission requirements many aspects of the requested testing will need to be performed during the late evening and early morning hours and on weekends. Equipment to be tested includes the following: Low voltage case molded circuit breakers. Low voltage automatic circuit breakers. Low voltage switch / distribution panels. Low voltage motor control center panels. Low voltage motor control units. Medium voltage automatic circuit breakers. Medium voltage distribution panels. Control instrumentation such as phase sequence relays, current relays, voltage relays, amperage meters and volt meters. Electrical distribution "bus bars". In addition to preventive maintenance, all breakers 100 amps or over will be subjected to primary injection in order to test all aspects of the overload trip functions of the breaker. Equipment to be tested has varying voltages (120, 208, 277, 480 and 12K) and varying currents (5 amps to 3000 amps). Upon completion of testing, vendor will provide to the government a test report and test data records in accordance with National Electrical Testing Association, Maintenance Testing Specifications, 2005 Edition, Section 5.4 "Test Report". This solicitation is set aside for Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Businesses. NAICS code is 238210. Solicitation will be posted on/about 20 Sep 07.
