- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Nycom , Inc., Midlothian, VA 23113, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for:1) (10 each)- HM950S7790B-Flammable Storage Cabinet; 2)(1 each)- MH950S7810B-Flammable Storage Cabinet; 3) (1 each)-FH6186330001- Extra Deep Safeaire II fumehood with stainless steel liner and combination sash; 4) (4 each)-54L2777SBB- SafeAire II fumehood with stainless steel liner and combination sash; 5) (1 each) 54L2771SBB-SafeAire II fumehood with stainless steel liner and combination sash; 6) (10 each)- 30L81100-Pre-Piping Vac; 7) (10 each)-30L82200-Pre-Piping Gas; 8) (10 each)-30L81000-Pre-Piping Air; 9) (1 each) 32L844CW-Pre-Piping cw W/VB; 10) (24 each)- 54L7900-Hood Pre Wire; 10) (1 each) 62L0722443- Ceiling Enclosure; 11) (4 each)- 54L0722431-Ceiling Enclosure; 12) (1 each)-54L0482431-Ceiling Enclosure; 13) (1 each)-CT6186330002-6FT Extra deep stainless steel fumehood worksurface; 14) (4 each)-CT6186330004-6ft stianless steel fume hood worksurface; 15) (1 each)- CT6186330003- 4FT Stainless steel fume hood worksurface. The fume hoods and casework for this request are in existing laboratories and need to be compatible with the existing casework in the laboratories. All of the fume hoods and casework that are currently in the laboratories are manufactured by Fisher Hamilton. An inventory of casework and replacement pieces/parts for the fume hoods is maintained in the NIEHS warehouse to allow minor repairs/changes in the laboratories. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contract Specialist at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 5 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Nycom, Inc. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500 This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
