- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY OF SMALL BUSINESSES HAVING THE CAPABILITY OF PROVIDING THE SERVICES DESCRIBED HEREUNDER. Sources Sought: National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences/ National Toxicology Program Archives/Repository This synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation or award a contract. No solicitation documents exist at this time. Any subsequent solicitation for an R&D contract will be synopsized. The contract would be for a level of effort type contract for a period of ten (10) years. Firms who respond to this advance notice will be added to the solicitation mailing list for any subsequent solicitation The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is requesting information to determine the availability of interested small businesses who have the capabilities and facilities to provide management and support of the National Toxicology Program (NTP)/ NIEHS Archives and Specimen Repository. The Contractor shall provide qualified professional and technical personnel, materials, equipment and facilities to store (1) histological slides, paraffin-embedded tissues, formalin-preserved wet tissues, microfiche and associated study data; digital histological images; kodachrome slides;(2) conduct reviews of study materials; (3) transfer of selected study records on paper to long term storage medium (4) coordinate the flow of pathology data from NTP studies; (5) maintain a frozen tissue bank; (6) inventory, receive, manage and distribute repository samples. The facility must be located with 25 minutes driving time of the NIEHS South Campus facility located at 111 T.W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The Government estimates that this ten-year period may require 65,800 professional labor hours; 282,000 technical labor hours and 42,300 clerical labor hours. IT IS EMPHASIZED THAT THIS NOTICE IS FOR PLANNING AND INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT, NOR WILL THE GOVERNMENT PAY FOR INFORMATION SOLICITED. INTERESTED OFFERORS SHOULD SUBMIT (5) COPIES OF THEIR CAPABILITY STATEMENT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTEEN (15) PAGES IN LENGTH, EXCLUDING STANDARD BROCHURES, ETC., FOR RECEIPT BY THE AGENCY ON OCTOBER 1, 2007 Please submit information to Carolyn N.
