- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Central Region, Water Resources Division, New Mexico District, has a requirement to acquire water pump operation, removal and installation services. The USGS in cooperation with the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (ABCWU) plan to sample water in well Yale 2. The existing turbine pump must be removed and stored while a submersible pump is lowered into the well in its place, along with a tube that will be used for insertion of the sampling equipment. After sampling is complete, the turbine pump must be reinstalled. Procedures to prevent bacterial contamination during the performance of the contract must be in place. The U.S. Geological Survey considers this specified requirement as a sole source to Alpha Southwest Inc., 205 Rossmoor Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Due to the critical nature of this resource, ABCWU will only allow their certified contractor access to this well. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these products at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer USGS, PO BOX 25046, MS 204, Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 80225-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (09/27/2007) 4:PM MST. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are received by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with a noncompetitive award after funds have been appropriated for this requirement. This is NOT a request for a quote (RFQ); the Government does not anticipate a written solicitation. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-20, effective 17 September 2005. No number notes apply.
