- This is a modification #002, to the synopsis entitled EVALUATION AND ANLAYSIS OF AEROSPACE ACQUISITION USING PARAMETRIC MODELING TECHNIQUE OR APPROACH which was posted on September 11, 2007. The purpose of this modification is to: A) Incorporate the following statement: This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.; and B) Address the following offeror's questions: Q#1) Is this a new requirement or is this work ongoing? Ans1) No, this is not a new requirement and yes, this is a continuing/on-going work effort with the Resource Analysis Office. Q#2) Is there an incumbent for this work? Ans2) Yes, Cost, Inc. is the current incumbent. Q#3) What is the number of hours of work expected for this effort? Ans3) The government is unable to release any information concerning hours for this effort at this stage of the procurement. Q#4) Is the work to be performed onsite at Goddard Space Flight Center? Ans4) Currently the work is performed Off-Site from Goddard Space Flight Center. There are no Government facilities nor Government Furnished Equipment associated with this procurement to the incumbent or potential vendors. Q#5) We are an 8(a) company and we have the capabilities to perform this work. We are currently involved in doing similar work. Would you consider an 8(a) contract? Ans5) Should the Government decide to compete this requirement, we will consider all procurement strategies. Q#6) Can you clarify the deadline for the response ? is it Sept 24th or Oct 3rd? Ans6) The deadline/response date, as noted below, has been extended to September 26, 2007. Q#7) If this presoliciation progresses, is there funding allocated to support the task? Ans7) As stated above in "A" of the purpose for this modification, this synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. If this progresses and a solicitation for this effort is issued and awarded, yes, there will be funding to support the contract. The due date for responses is extended to September 26, 2007. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=51 Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments.
