- Amendment 0001-This amendment is issued to change the set aside from small business set aside to unrestricted. This amendment also includes answers to questions which have been submitted. Q1) Will the passengers identified in the solicitation notice be DOD employees? A1)Yes, both DA civilians as well as DOD contractors. Q2) Is the helicopter required to be a 135 certified aircraft or can we bid using our UH1H restricted? A2) Yes, the UH1H is ok depending on the restrictions. Q3) What is the exact site location? A3) PZ - 63° 50 22.7N, 145° 54 52.6W and LZ - 63° 51 13.4 N, 146° 15 14.3W Q4) Who was awarded the work and at what price? A4) A written request for this information shall be submitted to our Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer Dana Walker at dana.walker@yuma.army.mil. Q5) Can we leave our helicopter at the U.S. Army Cold Region Test Center in Alaska? A5) Yes, The aircraft can be left at CRTC. Q6) Can we place our helicopter indoors on the base? A6) For the duration of the testing (Approx 3weeks) the aircraft can be parked in our maintenance facility if it can be wheeled through a 14' door (rotors must be able to align with the fuselage). Q7) Is the hanger heated? A7) No hanger available. Q8) Are there any safety issues we would be aware of leaving the helicopter on base? A8) No. Q9) Is their base housing we could use? A9) No. Q10) Is there jet fuel storage on base we could use? A10) No. Q11) Any bladders that we could use? A11) No. Q12) How is fuel handled on base? A12) Fuel not handled on base. Q13) Do we need to bring a fuel truck with us? A13) Yes. Q14) Is the mission strictly passenger plus baggage only? A14) Yes. Q15) Are there any requirements for company or personnel security clearances? A15) Visit request need be submitted to Ms. Toni Johnson, (907)-873-2116. All personnel must be US citizen (Natural born or Naturalized). Q16) What distance will we be traveling? A16) The air distance between the two points is approximately 18km. Q17) We will be able to make a round trip without refueling? A17) Yes. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (24-SEP-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
