Description

The VA Connecticut Healthcare System intends to negotaite via a sole procurement with Minntech regarding their DSD-201, Dual sided disinfector:automated endoscope reprocessor featuring 2 fully-independent and asynchronous reprocessing basins for high-volume, quick endoscope turnaround; KH01-0055 Active Vapor Management System: self-contained unit that mounts to the back of the DSD and a DSD Filter Package; this 14 day LCG change filter package includes: Air Filter (1/pkg of 8), disinfectant filters (5/pkgs of 12), 0.45u Pre-filter (4) and 0.2u bacterial-retentive absolute filter (2). The VA believes that only Minntech can provide these required items. This brand model model is already in use at this facility and it is imperative that we ensure standardization of scope processing so as to maintain the high level disinfection for all our patients. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other can meet agency requirement. This is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests shall not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notice to the Contracting Officer by 9/27/07 by 2:00pm EST. E-mail address is James.Corbett2@med.va.gov. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detailto demonstrate the abillity to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses, is soley within the discretion of the VA.
