Description

US Naval Hospital, Okinawa intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Bristol-Myers Squibb for the weekly delivery of Technelite, 148.0 GBQm, Fri CAL (Cat Number: 4000-F). Delivery shall commence the first Tuesday of October 2007 and delivery shall be each following Tuesday, ending the last week of 30 September 2008. Vendors shall be responsible for shipping direct to US Naval Hospital Okinawa (Japan), ensuring compliance with local customs regulations. Tracking information shall be provided for each shipment. This sole source action is based on FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), as there will be substantial duplication of cost (compatibility with the existing system). The NAICS for this requirement is 325412 and the SIC is 2835. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 4 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis (responses due by 28 September 2007 at 1630 Japan Time) . Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the contractor?s capability to provide and ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be e-mailed to the Contracting Officer, James Teruya, at james.teruya@med.navy.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan will proceed with the sole source procurement with Bristol-Myers Squibb.
