- Amendment 1: Note that this procurement is being amended to accept Brand-Name or Equal quotes; however, if quoting an equivalent brand, you must meet the specifications equivalent to the Blue Coat part numbers listed in the solicitation and ALSO pro vide a specification sheet of the proposed item which will be evaluated for technical acceptability. THIS PROCUREMENT WILL STILL CLOSE FRIDAY, 9/28/07 at 9:00 AM EST. Quotes already received from vendors are still valid and are not required to re-submit. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: APG DOIM requests two web filtering devices that will interact with the existing Bluecoat configuration. Current configuration is two Blue Coat SG800 servers supporting approximately 8,600 users. The new devices should provide support for approximately 15 ,000 users with additional users expected as a result of Single DOIM and BRAC. The web filtering device must: A. Operate in a manner that provides redundancy/failover for existing Bluecoat servers; B. Provide Dynamic web categorization automatically blocks unrated websites and then rates the web page accordingly; C. Provide compatibility with the Bluecoat Reporter.
