- The Fort Knox Directorate of Contracting is conducting market research for Guidance Counselor and Staff Recruiter Services for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC)to determine the capabilities of all businesses (large and small) interested in th e opportunity described below. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT COMMITTED TO AWARD A CONTRACT PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. It is a market research tool being used to determine procurement strategy . Appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of industry response to this sources sought announcement. The government is not obiligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of t his announcement. The applicable NAICS code is 561110 and the size standard is $6,500,000. This requirement is for services of 295 qualified personnel at 76 locations to include 64 Military Entrants Processing Stations (MEPS), five Army Recruiting Brigad es, various Army Recruiting Battalions, and Fort Knox, KY. Guidance counselor services performed at the MEPS include screening packets to ensure accuracy; counseling applicants or Soldiers on processing requirements, recommending jobs, assignments and sch ool dates; verifying applicant data to ensure each applicant meets selected option prerequisites; counseling unqualified applicants; and preparing administrative reports. Staff Recruiter services performed at Army Recruiting Brigades, Army Recruiting Batt alions, and Fort Knox, KY include support in USAREC Recruiting Operations Center, Waivers Branch, Policy Branch, Technical Support Branch, and as Training Base Liaisons. Staff Recruiters process waivers, resolve prior service issues, review applicant qual ifications to determine eligibility for various incentives and assignments, and handle matter pertaining to Army enlistment process at training base locations. ALSO INCLUDE VENDOR'S CAPABILITIES: a description of the vendor's capabilities to provide the office administration services of guidance counselors and staf f recruiters consistent with the description of duties described in this announcement.
