Description
The purpose of this solicitation is to assemble and deliver a technical data package (TDP) consisting of hardware, software, and integration documentation necessary to manufacture and support a Gun Part Task Trainer (GPTT) for the AH-64 Apache Helico pter. Currently project is unfunded. Contact for this effort will be Yancey Davis (256)842-4938 or email yancey.davis@peoavn.army.mil See FBO Numbered Note 26. This is a sole source requirement. MDHC is the only source possessing the technical data and co rporate knowledge required to not only document and release the necessary software interfaces for the gun control box and turret control box in the current AH-64D Block II configuration, but also ensures that future 30mm gun configuration changes under dev elopment for the Apache Block III configuration are taken into consideration for future growth in the GPTT's software design. MDHC, however, is not fabricating the initial GPTT within the scope of this sole source procurement; they shall only be providing engineering support, data, and select aircraft hardware for which they are the original equipment manufacturer which the Apache Project Manager's Office (PMO), in turn, will provide as Government Furnished Equipment/Information/Services to L3 Communicatio ns Integrated Systems Joint Operations Group, the current resident contractor at the Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) in Lexington, Kentucky, in a joint effort to manufacture the first device. Both MDHC and L3 Communications assisted Apa che PMO in the development of the GPTT performance specification. The current SOFSA contract, USZA22-03-D-0006, under which Apache PMO has partnered with SOFSA for the manufacture of AH-64D maintenance part task trainers such as the GPTT is due for renewal in 2008 under full and open competition Reference below to the SOFSA recompete, the SOFSA POC is Kathleen Henderson at 859-293-3474. The SOFSA contract website can be accessed at www.fbo.gov, then once FEDBIZOPS comes up type in SOFSA in the quick search . The solicitation, H92254-08-R-0001, and all mods are listed.
