- DESC: NSN 1005-01-468-0552, Part Number 12986106. The item to procure is a Deflector Link Cartridge for the M240 Machine Gun. Item consists of: 1-Deflector Plate, 2-MS16996-21, Socket Head Cap Screws and 2-MS21044-C4 Self-Locking Nuts. The Deflecto r Plate is formed from .047 thick steel, spheroidized annealed, heat treated and tempered to Rockwell C34-40, Phosphate Coated and Painted per specification. The part is approximate 4.50 inches x 4.00 inches. Phosphate finish is required per MIL-DTL-1623 2 (Finish Series 5.3 of MIL-STD-171). Proposed contract is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Minimum requirements are 1,000 each, with a 100% Option. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 15 Oct 2007. The response date listed is an estimate only. A ll or a part of this action is an unfunded FY08 requirement. This solicitation will incorporate a Technical Data Package (TDP) that will not be posted with the solicitation once the solicitation is issued to the web. Offerors are hereby notified that in order to receive the Technical Data Package, all offerors are required to execute a Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement binding each offeror to the terms and conditions of the agreement. Copies of the Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement will be found as an attachment to the solicitation when the solicitation is issued to the web. An official authorized to legally bind the company must execute the agreement by completing and signing the agreement. Upon execution of the Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreeme nt, it must be returned to Maria Vera by e-mail to maria.vera@us.army.mil or by fax to (309) 782-0155. Upon receipt of the signed agreement, the Technical Data Package will be mailed to the offeror. This solicitation will be issued electronically in acco rdance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.ht m. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested pa rties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same.
