Description
The 36th Contracting Squadron INTENDS TO MAKE A SOLE-SOURCE AWARD to Motorola, Inc. for an ASTRO 25 Network Management Subsystem to include installation. This requirement is in support of ongoing upgrades on Andersen Air Force Base. This award will consist of the equipment required for an LMR computer based network management system, encryption key management for the over-the-air rekeying function and a remote monitoring terminal capable of sensing faults to the ASTRO 25 digital trunking system. These three systems will allow radio technicians to remotely monitor key performance and faults of ASTRO 25 subsystems and allow for configuration and security management from Andersen AFB. Under the authority provided in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b) and 13.501, the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Interested parties are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience and data pertinent to their ability to provide the same equipment for use in this project that meet this requirement no later than 29 Sep 2007 at 16:30 pm (ChSt (GMT +10)). Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firms capability to provide the required equipment. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of an evaluation of the information received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in the Contracting Officers assessment of capable sources. Questions concerning this notice should be directed to TSgt Victor Martin at (671) 366-2358. Responses to this notice must be sent to victor.martin@andersen.af.mil. The size limitation for email attachments is five megabytes per individual email message. Only email responses will be permitted. If after 29 Sep 2007 at 16:30 pm (ChSt (GMT +10)) no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, the Contracting Officer shall initiate a contract award solely to Motorola.
