Description
This requirement is open to all offerors. NAIC code is 238990, Size Standard is $13.0M The FAA, New England Region, currently has a requirement to install, and terminate, a new 5KV power system from the utility transformer at the existing ALS building to the new Remote Receiver Site. The Contractor will connect to the existing transformer and excavate for power to the new Remote Receiver building and antenna tower. The Contractor will also be responsible for the construction of a building foundation, and the construction of a foundation for a new Government furnished 20' tall antenna tower. The fiberglass shelter which is currently on site at the ALS facility will be relocated to the new foundation. The work also involves but is not limited to the following, - excavation, trenching, backfilling - installation of underground and overhead conduits and cable tray - installation and termination of fiber optic cable from ALS building to new Remote Receiver building - removal and disposal of old equipment building and 10' antenna tower, including all above ground conduit and cables, bringing the existing foundations below grade, installing new topsoil, grass seeding to restore grounds to original conditions, etc. All work is outlined in the Technical Specifications and Drawings. A site visit has been scheduled to take place on October 17th, 2007 at 10: 00am (ET). Contractors attending will meet the project engineer outside the South Gate located at Logan International Airport, E. Boston, MA. Performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The insurance required by MASSPORT to work at Logan International Airport which the contractor and each of the subcontractors will purchase and maintain, at their own expense, with an insurer acceptable to the Authority, Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance for not less than a combined single limit of $10,000,000.00 for each accident for bodily injury and property damage, etc. Certificate of Insurance, Performance and Payment Bonds each equal to 100% of the award total, will be required by the FAA. Offerors must provide evidence that they meet MASSPORT's badging requirements. All offerors submitting an offer must complete an application for badging and submit proof that any employee working on this project has been successfully badged during the past 2 years. Contractor must have successfully completed a project of similar scope, complexity and dollar value over the past 5 years as a prime contractor. Solicitation packages will be available on or about the week of October 15, 2007.
