Description
The US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) plans to award a competitive procurement for Rocket Propulsion Technology. This technology encompasses Research, Development, and Testing of solid, gel, and hybrid rocket propulsion technology for application in US Army missile systems. Previous contracts for similar effort were issued to the following: Aerojet General Corporation, Gainesville, VA, DAAH01-03-C-R003, and Alliant Techsystems Incorporated, Rocket Center, West Virginia, DAAH01-03-C-R004. The AMRDEC, Propulsion and Structures Directorate (PSD) intends to competitively solicit the necessary Engineering and Support Services. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued as a Research and Develo pment effort with a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, Level of Effort, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity with Multiple Awards, for a maximum period of performance of five years. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.203(a), this synopsis clo ses 23 Oct 2007 at 4:00 pm CST. The solicitation for this effort will be issued after this date.
