- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued, paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. This is a commercial solicitation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found in FAR Part 13, solicitation no. FA4690-08-Q-0002 and is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) on 11 October 2007. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24. FAR clause descriptions are available via the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. The set-aside for this solicitation is 100% small business. NAICS code: 561990. Size Standard: $6.5 million. This solicitation is to hire a Community Worship Service Accompanist. The estimated period of performance will start 1 November 2007 with FOB: Destination for delivery to Ellsworth AFB, SD 57706. The Government will award a blanket purchase agreement resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: past performance and price. Past performance will be evaluated on the contractor?s ability to meet the following requirements. Include in proposal a list of experience demonstrating their history of: piano and electronic keyboard, accompanying for a worship service, and playing music for a blended worship service (i.e. Protestant traditional and contemporary worship music styles). Be able to read music. Contractor shall list experience to demonstrate understanding of traditional and contemporary worship music, music theory, harmony, and musical arrangement in church and religious music in their proposal. Have at least one year of experience as a worship Accompanist and music accompanying experience in a traditional and contemporary worship service. Be required to use existing instrument/sound system, including: mixing boards, microphones (Shure Classic) and amplifiers (Peavey, Bose, Crown). List experience with the above equipment in proposal. Government may decide to upgrade or change current system and may provide training on new equipment.
