- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and is an Unrestricted solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request For Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is F2VVJ57274A001. The 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida, requires the following items: USCENTCOM CCJ5 requires hotel rooms, conference rooms and breakout space for Chief of Defense (CHOD) Conference to be held on two (2) separate occasions. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16 effective 22 Mar 2007, DFAR DCN 20070426, and AFFAR AFAC 20070314. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 721110. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7011 with a small business size of $6.5 million. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. DESCRIPTION: The first conference will be held from 14 Jan 08 through 16 Jan 08 and the second conference will be 28 Jan 08 through 30 Jan 08. Conference rooms will be required for both conferences and specific dates are shown. For the first conference, four conference rooms are required to be broke out as one large meeting room, one interpreter work area and two breakout rooms. The second conference requires 3 conference rooms to be broke out as one large meeting room, one interpreter work area and one breakout rooms. The following Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation (AFFARS) clause applies: AFFARS 5352.201-9101 OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005). (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
