Description
The first annual C4ISR Transformation and Fusion Government and Industry Conference will be held at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Charleston, South Carolina, 6-8 November 2007. The event is sponsored by the Charleston Defense Contractors Association, in cooperation with SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston. The conference will focus on revolutionizing the Government-Industry partnership, with emphasis on new methods of collaboration, techniques for improved C4ISR effectiveness, and processes for enhancing the partnership. The Conference will feature keynote speakers, roundtable discussions, and various workshops discussing topics such as: Competency Aligned Organization/End-to-End Solutions; C4ISR Mission Capabilities Assessments using Advance Composeable Environment (ACE); Systems Engineering Revitalization through CMMI; Network and Enterprise Services ??? Service Orientated Architecture (SOA); and Operationalizing FORCEnet (OFn). As part of the Conference Agenda, on the afternoon of 8 November 2007, SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston???s Contracting Department will host an Industry Forum. The Industry Forum will present contract-related workshops such as: Doing Business with SPAWAR, Small Business Strategies, Proposal Evaluation Processes, Cost Proposal Submissions, Professional Employee Compensation Plans, etc. The Forum will also include a networking session with various Contracting Department personnel, along with a question and answer session. In order to make the question and answer session as informative as possible, attendees are requested to submit any general, procurement-related questions you may have to Mrs. Crystal Potts, e-mail: crystal.potts@navy.mil, by COB Friday, 26 OCT 2007. Conference dress is business casual. In addition, special hotel rate information is available for a limited time. Due to base access requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
