Description
The Government intends to award a modification to a Cost-Plus Fixed Fee type contract, together with a Time & Materials option, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source to DRS Sensors & Targeting Systems, Inc. DRS is currently providing support to the CERDEC Advanced Soldier Mobility sensor (ASMS) prgram under Contract W15P7T-06-C-P239. A contract modification with DRS is contemplated to design, fabricate and deliver five protoype sensor systems for user evaluation within 12 months of award. A T&M option to support component a nd system-level testing, additional performance enhancements, and Government User Evaluation activities is also contemplated. Delivered protypes shall be based on the previous Enhanced Night Vision Goggle (Digital)prototype design and shall be consistent w ith ASMS system designs. System weight shall be less than or equal to 2.5lbs., and power shall be less than or equal to 3 Watts. The system shall utilize a full format, high resolution 1600 X 1200 low light level sensor. The period of performance shall be 12 months, with the T&M option extending beyond that period. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
