Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: This project will be accomplished through the use of a stewardship contract, which authorizes BLM to enter into a service contract allowing for services for fuels reduction and forest health with vegetative material removed to be applied as an offset against the cost of services received (Public Law 108-7). The objectives of this contract, reduce the increased fuel buildup of standing, dead and down material; thin stand densities to a level that is remnant of pre-fire exclusion, meadow restoration, and large tree/snag retention for improved wildlife habitat by using one or a combination of methods stated in the specifications. Location of this project: In portions of Sections 1, 2, 11 and 12, T12N, R21E, and portions of Sections 6 and 7, T12N, R22E, approximately 22 miles Southeast of Lewistown, Montana. The Schedule for the site visit will be identified in the Request for Quotations. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors intending to attend the site visit tour shall contact Bruce Reid (406-538-1960) at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise him of the firms' name and number of persons that will attend. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Prospective contractors shall also complete their annual representations and certifications (ORCA) prior to award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov and for ORCA at http://orca.bpn.gov. The Request for Quotations will be available on or about October 26, 2007. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Response date for quotes will be on or about November 26, 2007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 113310. Small business size standard is 500 employees. See Numbered Notes 1.
