- Description
- This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources interested in providing Fire Protection and Emergency Services at 45th Space Wing at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida Annexes and other locations to include Patrick AFB. The Fire Protection and Emergency Protection would most likely include the following: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform all fire protection tasks and functions as AF fire department working 24 hours on and 24 hours off schedule. All personnel will be certified IAW the DOD Fire and Emergency Services Program for the position that are hired for or currently working as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Florida Annexes. Fire Protection Vehicles and Fire Stations will be government furnished and may change at any time within the period of the contract. The vehicles are furnished for the contract, but are owned and may be moved at anytime by the Air Force. The initial fire department response to the southern annexes will be handled by mutual aid agreement with the local fire department, but fire inspections will be the responsibility of the contractor. Fire protection and prevention services are a common commercial service and all levels of service and response shall be to the levels accepted to AF standards. The contractor shall provide fire department and fire protection and fire prevention functions according to DODI 6055.1, DODI 6055.6-M, AF Instruction 32-2001, Air Force Occupational Safety and Health manual 91-301 for fire protection programs, Air Force Occupational Safety and Health Standard 91-501, National Fire Codes, and OSHA requirements, as well as Air Force, local, state, federal, and industry standards. The contractor would ensure proper resource management for cost effective mission success of the 45th Space Wing at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS), Florida Annexes and other locations to include Patrick AFB; herein referred throughout the document as CCAFS. The contractor would provide all management, administration, quality control, labor, transportation, equipment, materials and supplies to accomplish facilities, systems, equipment and other support tasks. The work includes management, engineering, operations, maintenance, repair and modification of all real property, real property installed equipment, utilities support and other similar services. The contractor will be responsible for planning and executing all preventive maintenance, maintenance engineering and configuration management for facilities, systems and equipment at CCAFS to achieve optimal performance for mission support.
