Description
The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, AL is seeking potential contractors or sources for procurement for the following courses of Instruction: (1) Department of Public Works (DPW) Integrated Facilities System (IFS), and (2) Budg et Job Cost Accounting (JCA). This procurement is estimated to cover 3 weekly sessions for the IFS course during 2008, two classes in Huntsville Alabama and one class in Seoul Korea. The JCA course is estimated to cover a one week session in Huntsville A labama and a one week session in Seoul Korea. The IFS is an own Army ran system and permits online access to their training site for instructional purposes. A post-contract award meeting will be conducted in Huntsville, AL to discuss the need for revisio ns and development work. A milestone for deliverables will also be established. The contractor shall revise course materials and prepare instructor teaching materials. Revision of materials is on an as needed basis. All courses may not need revisions. The contractor shall revise Power Point slides, hands-on exercises, if any, practical exercises and instructor demos for each course. Requirements for this effort include: (1) Instructors must have at a minimum eight years teaching experience, five of w hich must be teaching the Armys Integrated Facilities System; (2) Instructors should have extensive institutional experience, institutional understanding, and broad inter-governmental, inter-army, intra-service professional contacts within the Department of the Army. The successful contractor will be required to provide the following: (1) a schedule of instruction on the first day of class; (2) Workbook materials that support the learning objectives that will also serve as a reference document during and after the cou rse; (3) Visual Aids; (4) Other administrative requirements such as obtaining and verifying student registration forms; end-of-the-course evaluations, and providing student certificates. This is not a formal solicitation. Contractors who can provide the U.S. Army Engineering Support Center with the services referenced in this announcement are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response that includes, at a minimum, the proposed cr edentials and qualifications, and, any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet these specific requirements. The previous source for this course was the Information Technology Services, Inc. of East Point Georgia. The following information should be included with any response to this announcement: Duns Number, Tax Identification Number and Cage Code. All interested sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before they can be considere d as potential sources. For this Sources Sought announcement it is not necessary to submit any additional information, resumes, sales materials or brochures. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this request for sources sought. This request for sources sought is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bid or proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
