- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) has a requirement for Shop Equipment, General Purpose, Common 10 and Common 12. The Common 10 is an adjustable shelving unit and the Common 12 will have tool cabinets and adjustable shelving inside the container. Both the Common 10 and 12 will be used by the USMC for storage of numerous different items. The Shop equipment?s primary purpose is to store general mechanics toolboxes and other various items during storage and transportation under a wide variety of conditions. This unit shall consist of a Quadcon Assembly base with adjustable shelving and a device to retain items in their intended locations. The usual operating procedure will be to load the Common 10 and 12 with the desired items and transport it to the work site, open it, issue general mechanics tool boxes or any other items that may be stored within this container, and start work. Once the general mech anic toolboxes are issued to the Solider, then the Common 10 and 12 shall be used for additional storage as required. The adjustable shelving unit and the restraints used to hold items in their intended location, the centerpiece of the system, shall be a Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) development that shall need very few modifications to get the desired solution. The requirement will be an Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. A minimum quantity of 10 each of the Common 10 and Common 12 will be ordered under the resulting contract. The contract maximum quantity is 600 each of the Common 10 and 12, for a total of 1200. The delivery order minimum quantity is one Common 10 and/or 12. The delivery order maximum quantity is 600 Common 10 and/or 12. Orders may be placed at any time within 60 month of contract award. This is an unrestricted procurement. The NAICS code is 332312 with a size standard of 500 employees. Request for Propo sal (RFP) M67854-08-R-3000 replaces M67854-07-R-3031 and will be poste d on the internet at the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, and Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at http://www.neco.navy.mil. No hardcopy of this solicitation will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted to the same locations as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including the amendments, should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. The proposal shall be submitted no later than 2 p.m. local time on Friday, November 16, 2007. The proposal shall be submitted in hardcopy form only and shall be sent to Commanding General, Contracts Directorate, CESS CTQ023/BLT, Marine Corps Systems Command, 2201A Willis Street, Quantico, VA 22134-6050 Attn: Belinda Toews, RFP: M67854-08-R-3000. Electronic submission of proposals will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents.
