Description

This notice serves as a modification to presolicitation notice posted under Reference-Number-IMPLC52207 on 23 May 2007. In addition to previously synopsized quantity of approximately 27 Integrated Multi-Platform Launch Controllers (IMPLCs) for Australia, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to award approximately 3 IMPLCs for the U.S. Navy via a sole source contract to Raytheon Company Electronics Systems, Goleta, CA (Raytheon) for a total basic award quantity of approximately 30 IMPLC units. The contract will also contain an option for approximately 13 IMPLC units for the U.S. Navy. Total of the base award quantity plus the option quantity will be approximately 43 IMPLCs. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to The Raytheon Company in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Raytheon is the only qualified source which possesses the technical data and detailed knowledge of the IMPLC which is required to perform this requirement in a timely and cost effective manner.
