Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Federal Investigative Services Division (FISD) intends to enter in to a sole source order for recurring telecommuniction land line, local telephone and connectivity services for FISD's office located in Maitland, FL. OPM deems it appropriate to award a fixed-price order on other than a full and open competitive basis to Embarq. Embarq is the available responsible source and no other source will satisfy the needs of the Agency. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for action is 517110 - Wired Telecommunications Carriers. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. FURTHERMORE, IT DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is not a solicitation for offers, but rather a notice of OPM's intent to negotiate a sole source award to Embarq. This notice is for information only, and may represent the only official notice.
