Description
BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS  WINGATE HIGH SCHOOL, FT. WINGATE, MCKINLEY COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. The magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about Oc tober 26, 2007, with bids due on or about November 26, 2007. Large Business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan with the following minimum goals: 51.2% for small business; 8.8% for small disadvantaged business; 7.3% for women-owned small bus i ness; 3.1% for HubZone small business; and 1.5% for Service-Disabled Veteran owned Small Business. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. WORK CONSISTS of the replacement of the existing Wingate High School and Dormitory. The 2-story High S chool, approximately 142,000 square feet, will accommodate 800 students in grades 9-12, and the 2-story Dormitory, approximately 138,000 square feet, will house 512 students. The primary elements of the High School include a library, gymnasium, mul ti-purpose bu ilding, dinning hall with kitchen, classrooms, labs, vocational space and administration. Construction materials include pre-cast concrete panels on metal studs, split and smooth face CMU, pre-finished metal panels, standing seam metal ro of and a single p ly roofing system, concrete foundation, and a pre-engineered steel building frame. The Dormitory will be included as an Option. The primary elements of the Dormitory are sleeping, administrative, laundry and storage areas, living and study rooms, and cen trally-located mini-gymnasiums. Construction materials include concrete foundations, architectural pre-cast concrete, CMU, low-pitched single ply TPO membrane over rigid insulation board, standing seam metal roofing, and kitche n and serving line equipment . The project includes all necessary site development and associated infrastructure and utilities. This project will be advertised as a Invitation for Bid. Proposed procurement will result in a firm fixed price contract .
