- Description
- AIR FORCE/INDUSTRY ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY INTERCHANGE WORKSHOP FOR INDEPENDENT RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (IR&D) AND SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) TRANSITION SUPPORT (COMMERCIALIZATION PILOT PROGRAM (CPP)) INTERCHANGE MEETINGS. The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and the Electronic Systems Center (ESC) plan to conduct an electronic systems interchange workshop on 24-25 January 2008 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center, 1125 Boston-Providence Turnpike, Norwood MA 02062, Phone 781-769-7900, Fax 781-551-3552. The two activities are: (1) IR&D Question and Answer sessions and (2) SBIR Transition Support One-on-One sessions. Prior to these IR&D and SBIR tracks, there will be a four-hour plenary overview, for qualifying contractors, where AFRL and ESC will present the Air Force near- and mid-term electronic systems technology needs and long term electronic systems technology concepts, and to provide the details of the subsequent IR&D question and answer and SBIR one-on-one sessions. Contractors interested in either the IR&D or SBIR tracks will attend this same overview. Following that overview, the AF will hold two parallel tracks -- IR&D Question and Answer sessions and SBIR one-on-one sessions. Twenty minutes will be allotted to each qualifying company interested in either of these two tracks. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not obligate the government in any way. Response to this request is voluntary and will not impact any future acquisitions. RESPONSE: Please respond, to the appropriate point of contact, within 15 days of the publication of this announcement with your intent to attend the workshop and a copy of your DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. Restrictions: These meetings are unclassified, U.S. Defense companies only. In order to attend, you must either be a DoD employee or DoD contractor with a valid DD Form 2345.
