- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis for the commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), citizenship & Immigration Service (CIS) intends to contract with the Miami Beach Convention Center 1901 Convention Center Drive, FL 33138 for 14 dates for Naturalization ceremony use throughout fiscal year 2008. An acceptable facility shall accommodate approximately 6,000 people and in addition to the rental of the hall itself, shall include parking, lobby space, chairs & tables, easels, stanchions, ropes, USA & Florida flags, stage lights, lectern & microphone, drapes, traffic officer, security guards, stagehand/sound operator, electricity, custodial services, handicapped access, and located within the Miami area. Dates of service required are for firm, fixed rate for a period of one year. Service will be provided to: USCIS, Miami District Office Department of Homeland Security, Citizenship & Immigration Services 7880 Biscayne Blvd, Miami Florida 33138.This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the Miami Beach Convention Center under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 unless additional sources are located. This notice is being solicited on a sole-source basis unless alternate sources are located.
