Description
The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Chicago Office (SC-CH) seeks to acquire technical support services in a broad range of technical areas including health physics, chemistry, project/program management, project controls, and nuclear safety. The work will support the Office of Science (SC) mission and be performed predominately at the New Brunswick Laboratory (NBL) in Argonne, IL, but also at the Chicago Office and various SC Site Offices including the Brookhaven Site Office (BHSO) in Upton, NY. This is a competitive acquisition limited to eligible 8(a) contractors under NAICS Code 541690, with a size limit standard of $6.5 million. A single performance-based cost plus award fee contract is contemplated. The anticipated period of performance consists of a 24-month base period and three 12-month option periods. Annual estimated Direct Productive Labor Hours (DPLH) is 16,600. Access to classified material will be involved and the successful contractor must have or be capable of being granted the appropriate security clearances at the time of award. Due to the broad range of technical expertise required, subcontracting and teaming arrangements are encouraged. The entire solicitation will be made available for downloading on or about November 15, 2007, from the Internet, located at web address http://e-center.doe.gov/. Individuals who have the authority to enter their company into a legally binding contract and intend to submit proposals via the IIPS system must register and receive confirmation that they registered prior to being able to submit an application on the IIPS System. All questions relating to the RFP shall be submitted to DOE via DOE-IIPS; telephone or e-mail communications shall not receive responses. For technical assistance with DOE-IIPS, offerors should call 1-800-683-0751, or e-mail the DOE-IIPS administrator at helpdesk@pr.doe.gov. TELEPHONE RESPONSES AND INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS REQUIREMENT SHOULD BE SENT VIA DOE IIPS. It is also the responsibility of the respondent to monitor this site for the release of (1) any additional information, (2) amendments to this notice, (3) solicitation(s), or (4) other related documents.
