Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Water, has a requirement to procure analytical support services for sampling episode(s) for the Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) Study. EPA requires analysis of approximately 14 Pharmaceutical samples, 14 Steroids/Hormone samples and 14 Pesticide samples along with 3 matrix spikes and 3 matrix spike duplicates for Pesticides as laid out in the draft methods included with the SOW. EPA will use the analytical data provided under contract to document occurrence of Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products in various waste streams; therefore, data produced must be of highest possible quality. Laboratories must clearly demonstrate their capability and experience in analyzing samples by the required methods and associated method modifications that are specified in the Statement of Work (SOW) and reporting data electronically in accordance with the EPA-specified format. Laboratories must certify that they are in possession of all standards required to run the methods as specified in the SOW. Capability and experience to be demonstrated by signature of the certification statement in the SOW. Laboratories will be required to employ a comprehensive quality assurance program, meet facilities and equipment requirements, and provide personnel that demonstrate technical expertise in analytical chemistry techniques.
