Description
The Army Contracting Agency (ACA), Fort Bragg Directorate of Contracting, intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis an interim bridge contract to KCA Corporation to provide Full Food and Dining Facility Attendant services for a five (5) m onth base period with three (3) one-month option periods. The period of performance will begin 1 December 2007 and go through 30 April 2008. This requirement requires the contractor to provide all services and equipment/property necessary to perform Full Food and Dining Facility Attendant Services for 28 dining facilities at Fort Bragg, NC  preparing an average of 19,000 meals per day. This action is being taken due to Government delays in the acquisition process and will provide the Government suffici ent time to finalize the follow-on competitive solicitation, a 100% HUBZone set-aside, to be published on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website on or around 3 January 2008. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this interim requirement based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award of this requirement will be un der the authority cited in 10 U.S. C. 2304(c)(1) and in accordance with procedures outlined in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). If you feel your firm possesses the ability to provide this service on a temporary basis for a five (5) month period of performance, you must respond by 19 November 2007, 3:00 p.m. EST.
