Description
By way of this announcement, The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Chicago District is surveying the Market Place to determine the interests and capabilities of CERTIFIED Hub Zones and 8(a) firms with regard to an upcoming acquisition for construc tion services for USACE, Chicago District. Firms must be a Construction firm with an approved NAICS Code of 237990 and have bonding capacity from $10,000,000.00 to approximately $25,000,000.00. The CERTIFIED Hub Zone and 8(a) firms must posses the expert ise, capabilities, and experience necessary to meet the requirements for the Little Calumet River, Pump Station 2B Rehabilitation Project, Hammond, Indiana (Indianapolis Boulevard, Jackson Avenue, and South Side pump stations). A brief description of the p roject is provided below (see BACKGROUND). This Sources Sought notice will be used for planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Th e Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Only CERTIFIED Hub Zone and 8(a) firms are encouraged to participate in this survey. BACKGROUND: The project will constitute providing all equipmen t, materials and labor for the following: The repair and replacement of pumps and/or motors; heating and ventilation work; removal and replacement of trash racks; electrical work; furnishing and installing outdoor generators, structural work, and other mi scellaneous tasks for Indianapolis Boulevard, Jackson Avenue, and Southside pump stations. The CERTIFIED Hub Zone and 8(a) firms having the bonding capacity and skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide in formation to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. RESPONSES must include the following information: 1) Request for information number: W912P6-08-S-0002; 2) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number; 3) Individual and aggregate bonding limits and current capacity; 4) Construction experience of similar projects in similar size and scope. (Describe services rendered, contract type, contract value, period of performance and location of project.)
