Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) seeks support to complete a comprehensive and independent evaluation of Biological Resources Discipline (BRD) activities. This independent and enterprise-level evaluation will help USGS evaluate the programs and strategic direction of BRD. It will cover all major topical areas of BRD activities, and examine key aspects of BRD science in accordance with its mission, Department of the Interior's Strategic Plan, and the USGS Science Strategy for the future. Request for Proposal (RFP) 08HQSS0007 will be posted on electronic commerce on or about November 14, 2007. The RFP will state the actual deadline for the submission of Proposals. Details may be viewed on the Department of Interior Business Opportunities website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. All responsible sources who have a valid Dun and Bradstreet Number may submit a proposal. Offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register by going to www.ccr.gov. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will consist of a two-year period of performance and the resulting contract will be commercial, firm fixed price per task. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2008. This requirement is unrestricted and the NAICS code is 541690. The solicitation, all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the NBC posting system at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is solely the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the NBC website for any solicitation amendments. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer.
