Description: I. INTRODUCTION. A. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are bein g requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. B. The combined synopsis and Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is: TARDEV00708. C. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-20, Effective 6 Sept. 2007. D. This is 100% small business set aside, the NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 488991, with a size standard of $23.5 million. E. Basis for award The US Army TACOM LCMC intends make an award to the company offering the crates and packaging that meets the minimum requirements set forth below at the lowest price. F. Finished packages/crates shall be quoted FOB Delivery to Texarkana, TX. G. This acquisition is rated DO-A4 under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). II. GENERAL. A. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement for two (2) types of crates (type A and B). These crates shall be built by the contractor and shipped to Destination according to the below delivery schedule.
